The Overview
Mobile phones are used extensively worldwide. The technology has been so rapidly and broadly embraced that there is little ability to perform epidemiological studies comparing users versus non-users. This means it is difficult to produce good-quality data regarding the safety of prolonged phone exposure. Effects of this type tend to be long term, meaning that the effects are especially worrying for the young of the current generation. Their exposure will have started from an early age when they are still developing and more sensitive to effects, and will subsequently occur over many years with potentially cumulative effects.
Mitigating the risk of disease for user will produce the following benefits:
1. Enhance the safe use of mobile phones by reducing the risk of inducing cancer.
2. Reduce the long-term financial burden of medical costs associated with the treatment of chronic disease.
3.Provide a software solution mitigating the effects of phone usage without the need for alternate products such as earphones, Bluetooth and plastic ‘shields’ as methods of reducing exposure to the transmitting device.
4.Provide an integrated solution that works automatically within the phone. Typically the uninformed are most effected by long-term exposure to environmental hazards. The invention will allow all users to continue the normal (current) usage pattern at a reduced risk.
